WAS
JESUS
A
BAPTIST ?
A
CATHOLIC ?
HOLINESS
?
OR
A
METHODIST ?
First
to find out what Jesus was, we need to find out what these religions are. Yes
friends, many people believe that Jesus Christ was a Baptist. Some Baptist
believes that there will only be Baptist in Heaven. What is a Baptist?
Webster Dictionary says: “one who baptizes a believer.”
What about Catholic? Was Jesus a
Catholic? The word “Catholic” means universal, general, all-inclusive, brood
and comprehensive in interest and sympathies, or the like.
What
about Holiness, was Jesus holiness? According to the dictionary “holiness”
means the state or quality of being holy.
Was
Jesus a Methodist? We find that a Methodist is one who emphasizes or insist on
systematic methods; one that lays great stress on method.
Friend,
are you Holiness? Are you a Catholic? Are you a Methodist? Or are you a Baptist?
Almost everyone in the Philippines has some kind of religion, and almost
everyone believes their religion is the right one.
Before
I answer the question of what Jesus is, I want to ask you a question.
Dear
Soul, if you are relying on religion to get you to Heaven, you are in danger of
going to Hell, and should be afraid. If you have not received Jesus as
your, “Savior” then you are following a religion, and not Jesus.
You
see Jesus was a Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, and Holiness. John
baptized Jesus in the Jordan River, the Holy Spirit came upon Him from Heaven,
in the form of a dove, and God spoke from Heaven saying, “This is my beloved
Son in whom I am well pleased.” (Matt. 3:13-17).
Yes,
Jesus was also a Methodist. His plan for salvation was laid before the
foundation of the world. Yes, Jesus had a method, because He knew why He was in
the world. (I
Peter 1:18-20).
Jesus
was even a Catholic, because Catholic means universal, and Jesus is
certainly universal. For God so loved the world that He gave Jesus to die for
the it.
Lastly dear friend, Jesus was Holiness,
Jesus, was conceived by the Holy Spirit. He was born Holy without
sin.
The
Lord Jesus was Baptist, because He was baptized. He was a
Methodist, because He provided the only method for salvation, the
only method anyone can use. He was Catholic, because He came for
everyone in the world. And last, He was Holiness, because He was born
that way.
Jesus was more than religion, He
was “the only begotten Son of God,” who loves you, and so He died for you.
Jesus was and is, the only way for salvation. (John 10:9; 14:6).
What about you, are you saved or
religious, have you accepted Jesus as your personal Savior? If not? Turn to
Jesus today and from religion. Put your trust in His “blood” for cleaning
and making you whole. (I John 1:7).
Right now dear friend, where ever
you are pray to receive Jesus today, turn from a world of sin, and self seeking
pleasures, receive Him and follow His way today not religion.
Dear
Jesus, forgive me of my sins and come into my heart and be Lord of my life
today. I love you and want you for my Savior, thank you fro saving my soul from
hell today, in Jesus’ name I pray AMEN!
