Where do your footstep lead others?

Two of my favorite childhood songs are: “footsteps of Jesus” and “Do others See Jesus in You”

These songs convict me of the importance of how I live my life. I am often reminded that “I am the only Bible some people will ever read.”

Sin I seen my father do caused me to think it was not bad.

              (Phi 3:17-21)

I.   It is possible to live a Christ like life

A.   We can follow the apostle Paul because he was a follower of Jesus. (Phi 4:9 ; I Co 4:15-16)

B.   There were others also whose examples were worthy of following.

Ten Most Wanted Men

1.  The man who puts God’s business above any other business

2.  The man who brings his family to worship service rather than sends them.

3.  The man who is willing to be the right example to everyone he meets.

4.  The man who thinks more of Bible class than he does his Sunday sleep.

5.  The man who measures his giving by what he has left rather than by the amount he gives.

6.  The man who goes to worship service for Christ’s sake rather than for the sake of others.

7.  The man who has a passion to help, rather than to be helped.

8.  The man who has a willing mind, rather than a brilliant mind.

9.  The man who can see his own faults before he sees the faults of others.

10.The man who is more concerned about winning souls for Christ than he is about winning honor.

Sometimes we are blind to the way others see us . Let us use the Bible for guidance to live by

Negative Commands

The New Testament, in addition to many positive commands, also contains many negative ones. By obeying them a person is blessed by God. A few that should be noted are:

1. “Judge not, that ye be not judged” (Matt 7:1)

2. Lie not one to another…” (Col 3:9)

3. Grudge not one against another…” (James 5:9)

4. speak not evil one of another…” (James 4:11)

5. Walk not… in the vanity of your mind” (Eph 4:17)

6. “Be ye angry, and sin not…” (Eph 4:26).

7. “And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God…”(Eph 4:30)

8. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints” (Eph 5:3)

It was different for Adam and Eve to talk at times – They had no one to talk about

III.        It is important to remember constantly that no believer will be perfect until the return of Christ.

A.   Our heavenly citizenship is based upon “The Savior” v.20

B.   Our ultimate glorification is based upon Jesus Christ and His return

There is nothing on earth so right for God or so bad for Satan, as the example of God's people.

The Real Proof of God

To Authenticate Himself

  1. He called the nation Israel as witness
  2. Is 43:10 says testify.. “I am he; before me there was no God formed, and there we be none after me I, even I, am the Lord”
  3. Note, His people testified He was real. God still uses His people
  4. A change life is still best testimony of God’s power.
  5. Divine love of a Christian which accept and forgive the others is the best witness of God’s Nature
  6. Hope that will not die is still the best proof of eternal life.
