II Cor 5:14 “For the love of Christ constrained us”

Meaning of “Constrained” “to compel”, “to impel”, to drive forward, compelled by love”.

In the O.T. men was compelled by the law. In the N.T men are compelled by Love. Which is the greater power? Love or law – “love is”

Love should compel us because of the incentives for Service

I.   The empty mansion in Heaven (II Cor. 5:1-4)

A.   A empty building in Heaven “ In my father’s house are many mansions”

B.   Not laboring enough “Go out into the high ways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled”

Renown evangelist from British told a story about faith of his daughter He was in a serious decision with a friend, when he daughter came in handed him a jumping rope, without saying a word, turn and walked out. He continued his decision with his friend while untying a not in the rope his daughter returned took her rope a said thanks dad. Friends his daughter had a lot of faith in he. Chicken said brother hog why don’t we give all of the poor people – a nice breakfast of ham + eggs. The hog thought a moment and replied.
